COMBO THE TYRANT Quickstart

The seas of The Ink Archipelago were once filled with swathes of color and life. But they now pool with ink-black pits, tainted by the lifelong history of the monsters of this world; Tyrants. Power is their bark. Greed is their bite.

But you? You live your life with love. You kill these bastards with violence. With music in your heart and the ancestors in your soul, you are a Pillar.

COMBO THE TYRANT is a modern science-fantasy tabletop role-playing game using the Forged in the Dark framework. 1 player takes the role of the Gamemaster, while 3-5 players take the role of Pillars; magically superpowered activists that take down regimes of cyborg oligarchs known as Tyrants.

This quickstart includes:

• Core mechanics of Living Life and Killing Bastards; the narrative and combat modes
• Pillar creation rules and 6 Playbooks, with character sheet and premade Iconic Pillars
• A short introduction to the world of The Ink Archipelago and the Isles of Kanon
• Home is Where the Heart Bleeds, a premade one-shot adventure so you can get right into the action!

Currently being worked on for a future update:

• Game module for Foundry VTT
• Portrait tokens and map for Home is Where the Heart Bleeds
• Condensed rules with cheat sheet

"What is NOT included in the free quickstart?"
Expanded character creation, Tyrant creation, most Field Conditions, some Downtime Activities, and detailed world and faction lore. All of these will be included in the paid core rulebook. Additional Playbooks or Moves might be on the table if the feedback calls for it.

"When is the core rulebook coming out?"
If or when it comes out. I am just one guy, so consider this prototype an interest check before I work on it any further. If you care, please be sure to comment in the forums and share this game with your friends so I can get as much feedback as possible!
